Though there are 2 regions, you may battle gym leaders from either region. It is preferred that you battle at least one gym trainer of each type, but not required. After beating a Gym Leader, Frontier, Elite Four or Myself, the Champion, make sure to give me or an elite four your replay to post in the forum.

Banned pokemon: Limit of 2 pseudo legends, 1 legend, No Jirachi, No Shuckle
